Before every reset

Pause. Check. Then begin.

A material category or familiar-looking surface is not enough on its own. Construction, finishes, adhesives, dyes, skin condition and manufacturer instructions can change what is appropriate.

    The item or material manufacturer’s instructions take priority.

  2. 02Inspect the exact condition.

    Damage, loose parts, irritation or colour transfer are reasons to pause.

  3. 03Test conservatively.

    Where appropriate, begin gently and in an inconspicuous area.

  4. 04Allow the routine to finish.

    Drying, cleanup and correct storage are part of the process.

Sneaker Reset

Prep. Wash. Finish.

Use machine washing only when the footwear manufacturer permits it.

  1. Prep: remove loose dirt carefully and check seams, trims, colour and construction.
  2. Separate: place each compatible shoe in its own protective bag and secure loose compatible items as instructed.
  3. Wash: follow the footwear and washing-machine instructions for programme, temperature and detergent.
  4. Dry: air-dry fully unless the manufacturer gives another approved method.
  5. Finish: use the cloth or sole tool only on compatible areas, then return the kit to its case.

Deep Reset

Check. Treat. Extract.

Water-safe does not automatically mean steam-safe.

  1. Identify: find the fabric composition and the furniture, rug or vehicle manufacturer’s cleaning code.
  2. Inspect: pause on damaged backing, unstable dye, unknown fillings or electrical elements.
  3. Test: use an inconspicuous area and the gentlest appropriate method.
  4. Work in sections: avoid over-wetting and make controlled, overlapping passes where approved.
  5. Dry completely: ventilate the area and keep it unused until the material is fully dry.

Pet Reset

Comfort before speed.

Choose the tool and pace for the coat, task and animal’s response.

  1. Check: work only on healthy skin and a coat suitable for the selected grooming action.
  2. Introduce: let the animal become familiar with the sound and tool gradually.
  3. Groom gently: use light, controlled passes and avoid repeatedly working one area.
  4. Trim conservatively: select an appropriate guide comb and stop if visibility or control is poor.
  5. Finish the area: use dry cleanup attachments only where intended, then clean and store the tools.
